my book

das ist mein typo buch, nachdem mein leporello nicht funktioniert hatte, weil meine paierwahl zu dick war und man nicht alle buchstaben durch das transparent sehen konnte. war scheisse viel arbeit. die buchstaben sind mit bleistift per hand gemalt und nicht abgepaust! weil das in dieser aufgabe leider nicht geht, weil wir die buchstaben per augenmass kursiver, fetter, duenner und breiter machen mussten. dann sollten wir ein buch dafuer machen und die buchstaben auf einander stapeln... im prinzip hab ich logischerweise alles per mano gemacht und dabei viel kreppband benutzt: die schwarze schrift besteht aus krepp, ich habe dann das zeug ausgeschnitten. VIEL ARBEIT!!!! und es ist eine japanische bindung, wobei ich doch lernen sollte eine andere zu machen, denn die bindeart ist beschissen, weil die buecher nicht flach aufklappen. muss mal auf youtube schauen.

so, und weil bestimmt irgendwer das hier liest auf englisch kurz ne erklaerung.

ENGLISH:
my type book, basically 3 days of a lot of work and paper and masking tape... at first i wanted to make a leporello, but it didn't work out, cuz the damn paper, or probably i would now call it board, was way too thick and i couldn't see through to all of the letters. so stuck with little cutouts of my letters and not wanting to redraw them i thought very hard and long about what to do to save my day of wasted time and then simply grabbed my biggie sketchbook, cut squares, mounted the letters, glued the pages together, alligned the letters, cut them out, then made my extrapages using loads of black masking tape, helvetica neue in bold, took my exacto and cut every damn letter out, sewed up the thing with a japanese binding, tried to glue my i don't know what it's called in english to the spine, the glue didn't stick so i tried using double sided tape (american double sided tape SUCKS), used the german tape, cut out 3 boards for spine front and back cover, double sided taped them to the inside then using masking tape and a thin board created a "spine", stuck more tape to the front and cut out HANDMADE! voila. 3 days of bookbinding, add another day for the letters and I'M DONE!!!! AND HELL I KNOW THE PIX AREN'T GREAT!
